Having mismatched values doesn’t make either partner wrong. It’s an impossible situation, that would keep you in a cycle of conflicting needs and disharmony.

Be gentle with yourself. Even if you know in your heart this breakup is right, you’re bound to have mixed emotions.

Ex Feelings

They might still feel like they have a choice, when it comes to you. That they aren’t fully committed to the breakup. Either way you’re definitely on their mind, and in their feelings.

The Lovers and The Judgement

The combination of the Lovers and the Judgement card appears when you’ve arrived at a fork in the road. You have a decision to make. One road leads to personal satisfaction and happiness. The other path is socially acceptable. Maybe it’s what your family would like, what would make you look good to others.

The choice you’re facing or about to face is significant. It marks the end of a cycle. You might be closing out a negative pattern for good. Or fully committing to something.

In the spiritual world, we tend to highlight the importance of making yourself happy, of finding personal fulfillment. While these are beautiful things, there is no wrong choice here. Let me repeat. You can’t get this wrong.

At this moment in your life choosing for other people might be what’s best for you. It’s important to not forget, that is also a valid path.

So what’s calling you? If you tune in to the quiet whisper of your heart, what does it say?

When you’re struggling to know what to do in this situation, try this. Close your eyes. Place your hands over your heart. Feel it beat. Feel your breath. Then ask your question again. What do you feel is right?

Decisions tied to this tarot card combo include:

  • Committing to a partner vs parting ways
  • Making a career change
  • Retiring
  • Going back to school

  • Writing that book

Anything with significant implications for how you live your life.

Choose wisely, I know you’ve got this!

The Lovers and the Devil Card

The Lovers and the Devil are a delicious duo. These two cards are essentially mirrors of each other, with important changes. While the lovers are free, and blessed by an angel. The couple in the devil card are chained to each other. The Devil above them is not their master, he’s busy mocking the traditions of the hierophant. They are slaves to their feelings for each other.

Together these cards indicate love without grounding. There is likely a high degree of sexual attraction, or magnetic pull to the situation you’re asking about. (It doesn’t have to be a relationship). You’re deeply intertwined with subject. This feels like a need, not a want.

Seeing the Lovers reversed means the situation is not compatible to you or your values. Instead, you’re attached to it because it appears to fill a void. However, the more you engage with this situation, the deeper the void will get.

If both cards are reversed then you’re breaking free from a strong attachment that was unhealthy to you. You’re finally choosing self-love and respect.

Death and The Lovers Tarot Card

The Death tarot card is about transformation. When drawn with the Lovers, it shows a change that is for your highest good. You’re letting go of the past and moving forward with your life. Towards something beautiful, aligned and harmonious. If you recently experienced an ending in your life, have faith. You’re getting closer to your heart’s desires. Whatever was removed from your life or changed, was for a purpose.

Let me be clear. In a love reading this combination can mean a breakup, yet it doesn’t have to. If you’re in a relationship, something about it is transforming. In some cases it’s bringing you closer together than you ever were. Or pulling you apart.
